Automatically created Value Lists

To activate this mode, the "Manually crafted" checkbox must be unselected.

The automatically created lists are produced by user Functions that conform to the following format:

• they take no parameters
• they return an single-field ARRAY of text strings

This mode associates a Function with the Value List; the content of the list is drawn from the Function's output returned as an ARRAY, as shown in the following example:

Using the Function as the provider of the Value List content offers the advantages of the dynamically created list, that can be drawn from a database table, or constructed in the Function's procedure.

To add a new Value List

• press the New button;
• type the name of the Value List into the Name field;
• select the function from the "Item provider" list;
• press the Save button
