Print Template Resources

Display fields view provides a selection of database fields and Print Template components that can be dragged into the Workspace to create the template dynamic content and layout. Database and dynamic fields become recipients of data prepared by the Report Procedure; static fields are used for creating headings and captions whose content does not change from one run to another (hence the term "static").

Underlines and logos can be used to provide static decorations of various parts of the printed page.

Pie, Bar and Line Chart fields serve as placeholders of the graphic charts produced by the Report Procedure. They define the visual characteristics of the charts (such as the size, 3D-property or the choice of colors) while the Procedure supplies the actual numeric content.

Database tables displayed in Source column are drawn from the currently used schema, which in turn is selected from the RDBMS/Schema selector panel (the Set button above the Fields column).

This panel lists all database connections known to Scribe (as specified in the Scribe Server setup), and for each selected connection it shows all schemas that the connection is authorized to access.
