Naming Procedures and Templates
Scribe employs a hierarchical naming convention for Reports, Processes, Functions and Print Templates. The name of the Scribe component is composed of level names, separated by forward slashes (/), followed by the name of the component, e.g. "Query/Customer".
The level part of the component name is optional, and can be omitted. In this case, the slashes are not used either. The following example shows the Report selector panel with the partially expanded name hierarchy tree:
When naming the new component for saving, the fully-qualified name should be entered in the name text field, as in the following example:
If the entered name hierarchy does not exist in the tree, new tree branches and nodes are added when the object is saved. This is how new levels are added into the name tree hierarchy:
