Setting the location of updated resources

Most of the files updated through the Update Manager are located inside the Scribe server installation (home) directory. There are, however, some resource files that reside outside of the Scribe home directory. Specifically, these are:

• Scribe.war servlet file that is located in the webapps directory of Tomcat
• ScribeConnect.jar API library file that can be located anywhere on the users' host

The location of these resources must be set up in the Updates Property panel, as shown below:

To set up the location of the resource file, highlight the resource name in the upper part of the Preferences panel, click on the "Enable autoupdate" checkbox, and press the Browse button to select the location of the file. Note that the file can be located on a different host; in this case you will have to have the network connection to the host in order to be able to update it.
